Hook is the oldest of his siblings. He is smart, caring, loyal, protective, anyone’s best friend (most his siblings look up to him and trust him implacably). However, he’s also a bit neurotic and has insecurity issues which drive him to speak and act irrationally at times.

The first to be adopted by Elder, he witnessed the brutal murder of his parents by humans during the SPECIES CIVIL WAR. Highly traumatized by the event, he idolizes Elder, seeing him as his father, hero, and savior, and would do anything to have his approval. And that’s the trick, he already has Elder’s undying care and approval, but Hook puts soooo much pressure on himself, nothing is ever enough. Every day he strives to better himself, just to have a pat on the back by Elder at the end of the day. Unfortunately, he’s never happy with himself, he wants to run before he can walk, no progress is ever fast enough, and because of that he is very impatient and unforgiving of himself as he feels he should do everything better.

He assumed he would be the Alpha-male when Elder stepped down, and was shocked when Armor challenged him for the position. Although, Hook is in great physical condition, he couldn’t overcome Armor’s brutality in the challenge. Hook understands the rules of his species, but he feels somewhat betrayed by Armor for assuming the role he thought he was raised to have as his natural right. His resentment was further fueled by Armor splitting the pack as it split-up him and his mate, Lionheart. Since then, he’s quick to jump on Armor for any mistake no matter how small, and to challenge him on everything further straining their relationship.

Hook is very gifted, especially in the area of medicine, as he’s a medical technician held in high regard. He wears a thermal suit almost at all times as within his mixed breed, he inherited a hairless gene (he has no fur, just soft smooth skin), which makes him susceptible to temperature changes (cold, sunburn), and injury as there’s no fur to protect him. On the other hand his nose is the keenest of the pack, extremely sensitive, he can track anything by scent.
