One of the very few alive who’s been there from the beginning. Originally a family pet, his evolutionary development jumped with exposure from alien chemicals. He was trained by humans as a soldier, which was against his peaceful nature, and ran with a platoon ambushing aliens.
During one battle he encountered an alien element, which bonded with him, empowering him with incredible abilities so powerful he almost single-handedly defeated the alien invaders and sent them fleeing in full retreat.
But he hated war, and wanted no part of the SPECIES CIVIL WAR. He became a recluse hermit, hiding and waiting the war out. But one day, he came across TESH, a child orphaned still entwined in his dead mothers arms in a decimated city. Elder’s heart broke, he couldn’t help but take the child with him and raise him as his own. Soon he found out how he could make a difference in the war without fighting, and he took in all the orphaned children he came across. This story is the epitome of Elder. Infinitely compassionate, caring, loving, and patient.
Experiencing the horrors of the wars, he’s truly able to differentiate between what’s important and what’s not. He doesn’t get upset at little things that are insignificant. He wakes up everyday feeling blessed to be able to share one more day with those he loves. Every minute is precious, every one of his children is priceless.
His reputation kept his children safe, as no one would dare hurt them with him around. But there are many animans who resent him for staying out of the Species Civil War, and who will have nothing to do with him because of it. After all, he could’ve ended it in a second. But it doesn’t bother him, he feels what he did was right, and everyone else’s problem is just that- everyone else’s problem.
Age has finally begun to catch up to him though. The long life and good health the alien element gave him is starting to wear down. He’s just not the same physically as he used to be. Although he knew it would cause conflict, and it devastated him to see his sons and daughters fighting each other for the alpha-role, he had to step down. It’s just the way of nature.
