BLASTER

Real Name: Smitty
Breed: Pug/Mix

Plagued with health problems: severe asthma, and more importantly a muscular deterioration disease that’s haunted him his entire life, he has trouble exerting himself physically in any way and often runs out of breath or simply collapses when he over-does it. Because of this, he has dedicated himself to finding ways to give him the edge.

He developed a reinforced self-contained suit. It provides back, arm and leg support. The helmet is equipped with an advanced air filtration system, and will automatically release inhalation spray if his asthma acts up. He has equipped within the backpack two blasters that can extend several feet and rotate 360 degrees. Mini-cameras hooked up to the blasters relay info to a targeting computer displayed on monitors inside the helmet, and he can operate it by remote on his chest panel.

Because of the advantages of the suit, and the fact that he doesn’t get sick as often because of it, he rarely takes it off. In a sense he almost completely isolates himself socially. He and Quickshot have bonded due to their commonality to keep to themselves. He’s very intelligent, very proficient in electronics, mechanics, weapons engineering, and explosives.

He likes to keep a daily routine and has a difficult time when that routine is broken. He resists change, is poor to adapt to adversity, and hates to be anywhere but home. However, he internalizes everything, so most don’t know how difficult change is to him. Although he accepts help, he hates the fact that he often has to rely on others. He says he greatly desires his independence, but deep fears of helplessness and his natural co-dependent tendencies stop him from pursuing it. He has become somewhat a slave to his fears, and makes irrational decisions because of it. Part of him realizes this, but he can’t seem to stop himself from doing it.
